PAST PROJECTS: INTEGRATIONS
Office of the CIO (BC Gov) LDAP (Active Directory)
A BC Government client had an LDAP integration being used to manage over 70,000 accounts for all ministries in ServiceNow. The data was also synchronized to the ServiceNow CMDB so that it could be used in the Incident Management and Service Request processes. This implementation enabled previously unavailable support, service, and reporting capabilities. This resulted in being able to make data-driven investment decisions around the LDAP integration that drove further value to all BC Government organizations by reducing costs and understanding the security access landscape.
An MSP customer was interested in consolidating multiple, existing event management tool data into a single system of engagement (ServiceNow). A proof-of-concept implementation was created that used real-time data and automated processes to consolidate event data into meaningful, actionable records. The POC was deemed a success and resulted in a larger Event Management implementation (mentioned above).
A mining customer had enabled Discovery across their entire infrastructure, which resulted in creating millions of records in the CMDB that ultimately could not be managed by the support teams. An extensive clean-up exercise was conducted that cleaned up the data without orphaning any other records. Once the data was cleaned up, a Discovery implementation plan was executed that brought in CMDB data in a staged manner and operationalized the management of it in a way that could be handled by the existing team. This led to the existing team being able to manage more data with the same amount of people with a higher degree of accuracy.
